SZECHUAN PEPPER (57GR)

Szechuan pepper’s unique aroma and flavour is not hot or pungent like black or chili peppers. Instead, it has a light lemony overtone and creates a tingly numbness in the mouth. Thanks to its lemony aftertaste Szechuan pepper is featured in numerous dishes, including bang bang ji (bang bang chicken), Dandan Mian (noodles), Szechuan beef and Kung Pao chicken. It is also one of the spices used in Chinese five-spice powder.
