What exactly is it about Kewpie Mayo that makes it so unique? It is the embodiment of umami.
It has a smooth, silky and creamy texture with a rich yellow color. It is made with rice vinegar rather than distilled vinegar. It is packaged in a special bottle, designed with an easy to grip squeeze bottle that has two stoppers, one of which puts out a thin strip, and when unscrewed, it is star shaped. They only use egg yolk to make it which makes it lighter. Try it in Sandwiches, Burgers, Hot dogs, Rice bowls, Salads and of course sushi. With a little sriracha it makes perfect Chilli mayo..
