COCKLES FRESH

Cerastoderma edule, commonly known as the common cockle, is an edible marine bivalve mollusc found mainly in the coastal waters of the Northeast Atlantic and Europe. It has a distinctive ribbed, rounded shell and tender meat with a delicate, slightly sweet and briny flavour. Common cockles are widely used in seafood cuisine and can be served steamed, boiled, in pasta, soups, or seafood dishes.
